Florence Chiang is an Assistant Professor and NIH FIRST Scholar at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the Department of Radiology, Advanced Imaging Research Center, and O’Donnell Brain Institute. She completed medical, graduate, and diagnostic radiology residency training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by a Neuroradiology Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
- Education: M.D. and Ph.D. in Radiological Sciences from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, with Distinction in Research
Her research develops computational neuroimaging methods to identify imaging biomarkers for disease progression and treatment response in multiple sclerosis and neurodegenerative diseases. She has secured competitive grants including the RSNA Research Fellow Grant and NIH/NICHD R03 award.
