Atul K. Taneja

Dr. Atul K. Taneja is an Assistant Professor in the Musculoskeletal Radiology Division at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He holds a medical degree from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, and completed radiology residency at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), followed by fellowships in Neuroradiology (USP), Musculoskeletal Radiology (HCor/Teleimagem), and advanced training at UCSD and Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital. He is an active member of the International Skeletal Society (ISS) and Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), serving as associate editor for BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders and reviewer for specialized journals. His work focuses on musculoskeletal imaging, sports medicine, and medical education, with over 40 peer-reviewed publications and awards including the Merit Honor Medal and Ralph Schlaeger Award.

Research interests include MRI/ultrasound applications in joint pathologies, musculoskeletal infections (e.g., MSKI-RADS system), genetic disorders, and diagnostic innovation. He has contributed to protocols in imaging spinal surgery, tendon injuries, and pediatric anomalies like clubfoot. Dr. Taneja’s career spans over a decade in patient-centered diagnostics, integrating clinical expertise with technological advancements in HealthTech and medical innovation.
