Fang Yu

Fang Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he contributes to the Neuroradiology Division. His academic journey began with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, followed by a medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his radiology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and underwent advanced training in clinical and research neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Yu's research focuses on advancing MRI techniques to study neurological disorders, particularly demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases. His work has resulted in peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and grants, with a strong emphasis on translational applications of imaging technologies.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Yu actively participates in institutional governance through roles on the Neuroradiology Magnetic Resonance Quality Control Committee, Neuroradiology Fellowship Program Selection Committee, Radiology Department Research Day Abstract Review Committee, and the Advanced Imaging Research Center Protocol Review Committee. He is also engaged with professional societies including the Radiological Society of North America, International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, American Society of Neuroradiology, and American Society of Functional Neuroradiology, where he serves on Research Committees.
