Dr. Florence Anoruo is a Researcher and Project Director at South Carolina State University, affiliated with the Department of Biological & Physical Sciences under the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. She leads the Emerging Crops and Industrial Hemp Research Project, contributes to regenerative agriculture studies, and teaches courses in botany, plant physiology, and environmental toxicology.
- Education: BS in Botany/Environmental Science (Southern Connecticut State University), MS in Environmental/Biology Education (South Carolina State University), PhD in Plant Physiology/Ecology (University of South Carolina Columbia).
Her research spans regenerative agriculture, industrial hemp, biofuel feedstock, phytoremediation, and environmental/climate justice. Her recent publications focus on sustainable development, plant defense mechanisms, and environmental radiocesium effects.
