Her projects often involve collaborative experimentation and have been showcased at venues like 200 Gertrude Street and Westspace. She is open to supervising Masters Research or PhD students in areas such as phenomenology of natural spaces, material remediation, and aphantasia’s impact on creative practice.
Her teaching interests include interactive and kinetic works, materiality, and process-based art practices. Research themes encompass museum collections, authorial identities, and the studio as a laboratory. Summers’ work frequently integrates scientific frameworks with artistic inquiry, reflecting her dual expertise in art and science.
