Fleur Meary is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Odontology and University Hospital of Rennes. She holds dual doctorates in Dental Sciences (University Paris 5) and Cellular Biology (University Paris 6), with additional training in Radiation Protection (University Caen). Her research focuses on bone regeneration strategies using bioactive materials, 3D cell culture models for dental applications, and clinical studies on temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) and dental occlusion. She teaches Dental Radiography, Radiation Protection, and practical courses in Dental Occlusion.
Key research areas include development of bisphosphonate-loaded bioactive glasses, mesenchymal stem cell applications in dentistry, and biomaterial biocompatibility evaluations. Her work bridges molecular biology (e.g., Msx1 gene regulation studies) with translational dental materials research. Over 15 years of academic experience includes roles at the University Hospital of Rennes since 2011.
Teaching responsibilities include both theoretical and practical training in radiation safety and dental occlusion diagnostics. Research has produced impactful publications in journals like Bone and Journal of Dental Sciences, focusing on osteoblast behavior, biomaterial interactions, and craniofacial development mechanisms.
