Flemming Konradsen serves as Professor of International Environmental Health and Director of the Copenhagen School of Global Health at the University of Copenhagen. With over twenty years of research and programming experience, he leads environmental and global health initiatives across Asia, Africa, and Europe.
His research centers on water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); acute pesticide poisoning; and vector-borne disease control, utilizing epidemiology, qualitative studies, costing analyses, and health systems research within multidisciplinary field frameworks. His work emphasizes practical health promotion and sustainable solutions for urbanization challenges.
Professor Konradsen directs extensive research capacity-building programs in Asian and African universities while developing educational initiatives across East Africa, South Asia, and the Nordic region. His collaborations span international research organizations, universities, NGOs, and national bodies, including courses on Global Health, Sustainable Tourism, and Urban Health solutions.
