Fiona Wadie is the Associate Head (Academic) and a Senior Lecturer at Portsmouth University, affiliated with the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. She holds additional roles within the Centre of Forensic Interviewing, Institute of Criminal Justice Studies, and Policing Research Group.
Her doctoral research at the University of Surrey focused on investigative interviewing practices by police officers in England and Wales, examining influences such as legislation, police culture, and training. She previously worked at the National Centre for Social Research, specializing in Questionnaire Design.
Research interests include police wellbeing, police investigations, police culture, and the methodological aspects of policing research. Fiona actively contributes to academic and applied work in forensic interviewing and policing strategies.
