Fiona Syson is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Business School, specializing in services marketing, consumer behavior, and innovation. Her teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs in retail, services, and global marketing. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Degree Supervision (2010) and is pursuing an EdD focused on student co-production in Higher Education.
Her research explores co-production dynamics, corporate reputation ethics, and experiential marketing. Notable work includes studies on bridal consumption rituals and partner network governance. She became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2007 and has contributed to UN Sustainable Development Goals through her academic work.
Key publications (2003–2009) address service innovation, corporate ethics, and cultural event marketing. Her research methodologies include qualitative approaches like ethnographic studies and case analysis.
