Filippo Noseda is a Visiting Professor at King's College London's Dickson Poon School of Law, specializing in International and Comparative Trust Law. He is a dual-qualified English solicitor and Swiss Rechtsanwalt, practicing at Mishcon de Reya as a Partner. His expertise spans international tax and estate planning, advising governments on private foundation laws, and advocating for legal frameworks recognizing trusts in civil law jurisdictions. He has successfully lobbied Switzerland to recognize trusts in 2007 and appeared before the EU and Council of Europe on FATCA/CRS and beneficial ownership issues.
Education includes a lic.iur. (magna cum laude) from the University of Zurich (1997) and an LLM in International Tax & Trust Law from the London School of Economics (2001).
Research focuses on trust law evolution, privacy vs transparency tensions, and OECD compliance standards. Recent work critiques public beneficial ownership registers and analyzes CJEU rulings impacting tax jurisdictions.
