Filipa Jurković Pešić serves as Head of the Archaeological Collection at the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zadar since 2017. Her career spans archaeological fieldwork, curation, and academic research with extensive involvement in systematic excavations across Dalmatia and the Adriatic region.
Her research focuses on Roman archaeology with specialization in ceramic analysis, glass artifacts, and historical topography. She actively contributes to cultural heritage projects including the 'Cissa Antiqua' terrestrial research initiative and development of educational games like 'Search on Zadar's Muraj.' Her methodological approach integrates field supervision with museum curation and public archaeology outreach.
Jurković Pešić has participated in numerous archaeological supervisions including reconstruction of Zadar's Walls of the Uprisings Street and protective research at Diklo. She co-organized significant exhibitions such as 'Nadin - a rediscovered city' (2019) and 'Museum between Donatus and the Forum' (2022), demonstrating commitment to public engagement through archaeological photography and educational initiatives.
