Fien Depaepe is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at KU Leuven. She serves as the campus dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Campus Kulak Kortrijk, and heads the Subdivision Instructional Design and Technology. Her research focuses on instructional design, educational technology, learning analytics, and digital personalized learning.
Recent projects include:
- Investigating teacher orchestration load in synchronous hybrid education
- Designing AI-driven dashboards for educational feedback
- Enhancing data literacy for dashboard use in primary education
Her publications address hybrid learning modalities, adaptive feedback in educational games, and teacher interactions with digital tools. She contributes to the Division itec and KU Leuven’s Institute for Digital Society (DigiSoc) and Institute for Educational Research (LIVO).
