Professor Fidelma Ashe is a leading scholar in peace and conflict studies, specializing in marginalized identities, particularly within ethno-nationalist conflicts. She holds a Professorship of Politics at the School of Applied Social and Policy Sciences, Ulster University, and is affiliated with the Transitional Justice Institute. Her research focuses on gender dynamics, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and constitutional change in post-conflict societies.
Her work bridges academic inquiry with creative methodologies, such as co-producing theatre plays and photographic exhibitions addressing LGBTQ+ visions of peace.
