Dr Adam Fusco is a Lecturer in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of York. His research focuses on the History of Ideas and Modern Political Theory, particularly the intellectual development of constitutional and territorial politics in Britain and Ireland during the 20th century. He specializes in Ulster Unionist political thought during the Northern Ireland Troubles, secession, and national self-determination.
Education: PhD and Master's in Politics from the University of York; BA in Modern History and Politics from Queen's University Belfast.
Research interests include Irish Republican and Nationalist political thought, British-Irish constitutional relations, and civic/republican theories. His publications explore topics like Northern Ireland's constitutional status, Sinn Féin strategy comparisons with the SNP, and the legacy of the Good Friday Agreement.
He welcomes PhD applicants in his research areas and has been featured in outlets like the Dublin Review of Books and the Irish Times.
