Fi Croucher is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing & Healthcare Leadership at the University of Bradford, Faculty of Health Studies. She is a registered nurse with specialization in paediatric care, holding qualifications as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN). With over 25 years of clinical experience in children’s acute medicine and critical care, she transitioned to academia in 2013 as a full-time lecturer. Her teaching focuses on paediatric advanced life support (EPALS instruction), clinical skills training, and evidence-based practice.
Her expertise includes curriculum design, inclusive teaching strategies, and innovative assessment methods such as OSCE simulations. She actively collaborates with healthcare trusts to enhance student placements and has developed field-specific training for child nurse resuscitation skills. She oversees MSc student systematic reviews, participates in student nurse admissions, and advocates for student welfare through academic tutoring and accessibility support.
