Barbara Davies

Barbara Davies is a Senior Lecturer in Children’s Nursing and Director of Education at the University of Northumbria in Newcastle upon Tyne. She holds a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and has 20 years of clinical experience in paediatric nursing, including roles as a Paediatric Rheumatology Nurse Specialist and Clinical Coordinator. Her research focuses on nursing education, rheumatology care for children, simulation-based learning, and family-centered healthcare. She co-developed Paediatric Musculoskeletal Matters (PMM), an online educational resource launched in 2017 to support nurses caring for children with inflammatory arthritis.
