Fernanda Terra Stori is a Researcher and Visiting Scholar at James Cook University (Australia), affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Ecology and Natural Resources from the Federal University of São Carlos (Brazil, 2010) and is a postdoctoral researcher funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Her work integrates ethnoecological research, marine policy, and social-ecological resilience to address challenges in coastal zone management and coral reef conservation.

Research Interests: Fernanda specializes in ethnoecology of small-scale fisheries, marine protected areas (MPAs), and the socio-economic impacts of climate change. She emphasizes bridging fishers’ traditional knowledge with policy frameworks to enhance adaptive governance of coastal systems.
