Dr Fernanda Odilla is a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna and a Research Affiliate at the Brazil Institute, King's College London. Her work focuses on anti-corruption initiatives and accountability mechanisms in the Global South, particularly leveraging digital media and emerging technologies.

Her prior career in investigative journalism, including roles at the BBC’s Brazilian desk and Brazilian daily newspapers, informs her practical approach to exposing political corruption and systemic governance challenges. She actively examines Brazil’s democratic transition, transitional justice, and SDG-aligned frameworks for institutional integrity.
