Prof Fergus Lyon is a Professor of Enterprise and Organisations at Middlesex University, Director of the Centre for Enterprise, Environment and Development Research (CEEDR), and Deputy Director of the ESRC Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity. His research focuses on social and sustainable enterprise, agri-food systems, sustainable fashion, and international development. He has supervised numerous PhD students, including Joanna Paulynn Kitchen and Ambrose Massaquoi, exploring topics like social entrepreneurship in Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Ghana. Lyon has secured grants from the ESRC, NERC, and other bodies, and his work spans over 150 publications, including policy reports and academic articles. He leads projects on SME financing for biodiversity, green innovation, and transdisciplinary sustainability research. Lyon also chairs the UK Sustainable Fashion Research Network and advises on policy for social enterprises and public services.
