Ferdinando SPINA is an Associate Professor in Legal Sociology, Deviance, and Social Change (SPS/12) at the University of Salento. He holds a PhD in 'Sociology of Everyday Life and Qualitative Research Methods.' His research focuses on the sociology of law, criminology, law-media interactions, crime-media dynamics, and foundational economy. He teaches courses such as Communication, Crime, and Deviance; Sociology of Conflicts and Environmental Crimes; and Sociology of Crime across various degree programs.
His academic roles include leading courses in sociology, social research, and international cooperation programs. He is affiliated with the Department of Human and Social Sciences, located at Studium 2000 Building 5 in Lecce, Italy.
