PD Dr. Felix Wiedemann is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Ancient Near Eastern Studies (Freie Universität Berlin), specializing in intellectual history, historiography, and migration narratives. His research focuses on the intersection of knowledge production, identity construction, and colonial discourse in ancient studies. He leads the DFG-funded project 'Völker- und Rassenkunde in Stein,' examining racial cartography through ancient Egyptian imagery.
Education:
- 2003-2006: PhD in Modern History at Freie Universität Berlin (dissertation on witchcraft's modern reception)
- 1995-2002: MA in Modern History, Political Science, and Philosophy at Freie Universität Berlin
