Felix Koch is a Senior Research Assistant (since 2023) at the University of Zurich's Chair of General Ethics under Prof. Halbig, part of the Philosophical Faculty. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from Columbia University (2012) and has held academic roles globally, including Assistant Professor at Free University Berlin (2013–2021), Einstein Postdoctoral Fellow at Humboldt University (2016–2019), and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Göttingen (2012). His research focuses on Moral Philosophy, Metaethics, Political Philosophy, and Philosophy of Law, with recent work exploring normative powers and legal theory.
Education highlights include a PhD (Columbia, 2012), MPhil (Columbia, 2008), MA (Columbia, 2001), and studies at Magdalen College, Oxford (Modern History). He has received the German National Merit Foundation Scholarship (1998–2004), Einstein Postdoctoral Fellowship, and SNSF Research Fellowship.
Teaching includes courses on Applied Ethics, Ancient Philosophy, and Political Philosophy at the University of Zurich.
