Felix Dorn

Felix Dorn is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology at BOKU Vienna. He holds a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Innsbruck (2021) and has held academic positions at the University of Vienna (2022-2025) and the University of Innsbruck (2021-2022).

• Projects: Leads the project Emerging geographies of decarbonization beyond North and South: lithium and green hydrogen in Chile and Spain (2025), funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Research Focus: Examines socio-ecological conflicts in global energy transitions, particularly around lithium mining and green hydrogen in Latin America. His work bridges political economy, climate change, and resource governance.

Scientific Engagement: Regularly presents at international conferences including LASA, SLAS, and German Congress for Geography. Key presentation topics include green extractivism, resource geopolitics, and territorial struggles in Argentina, Portugal, and Colombia.
