Dr. Felicia R. Stewart is a full-time Professor and Chair of the Communication Studies Department at Morehouse College. She holds a J.D. from Emory University and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Intercultural Communication from Howard University, where she also earned her B.A. in Legal Communication. Her work bridges communication studies, African American rhetoric, and intercultural dynamics.
Dr. Stewart’s research focuses on racial discrimination narratives, historical preservation in HBCUs, and public/political oratory. Her publications address systemic racism in education and organizational leadership challenges in historically Black institutions.
She has received significant recognition for her work in mock trial coaching, including induction into the AMTA Coaches Hall of Fame (2017) and guiding Howard University to multiple national titles. Her awards also include the Neal Smith Award (2007).
