Federico Aime is a Professor and the Spears Chair of Business Administration at the Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University. He has been at Oklahoma State since 2006, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and then to full Professor in 2017. Before his academic career, Dr. Aime held several senior management positions at Citibank and Zurich Financial in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Dr. Aime's research focuses on the social psychological drivers of organizational decision making and performance. His work explores how CEO characteristics like Machiavellianism, humility, and charisma affect organizational outcomes, executive compensation, and market performance. He also investigates team dynamics, social comparisons in top management teams, and cultural differences in reciprocity patterns. His research integrates psychology and management to understand the microfoundations of organizational behavior.
Dr. Aime's recent publications show a consistent pattern of high-impact research in top-tier journals. His work on CEO characteristics has generated significant scholarly attention, with multiple papers accumulating dozens of citations within a few years. His research often employs innovative methodologies, including videometrics for studying difficult-to-access subject pools like CEOs.
Dr. Aime has received numerous awards for his research excellence:

Dr. Aime is actively involved in academic service, serving on the editorial board of the Journal of Management and conducting peer reviews for top journals. He has developed and leads a faculty development program for Central Africa based at MOI University in Kenya, which has successfully doubled the number of Ph.D. qualified faculty at MOI Business School and expanded to other African countries.
