Federica Balluchi is a Full Professor of Business Economics at the University of Parma, affiliated with the Department of Economic and Business Sciences. She graduated from the University of Pisa and earned her PhD in Business Economics there. Her research focuses on intellectual capital, budgeting and cost accounting, corporate social responsibility (CSR), social accountability, and accounting history. She is actively involved in academic associations such as the European Accounting Association (EAA), European Business Ethics Network (EBEN), and Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR).
Her teaching appointments include courses in Business Economics, Management Accounting, and Tools for Data Analysis Laboratory across various academic years (2013–2025). She is particularly interested in research collaborations related to CSR disclosure, intangible assets, managerial accounting, and accounting history. Her recent publications explore sustainability integration in strategic planning, institutionalization of historical studies in business disciplines, and the religious roots of CSR in Italian family enterprises.
