Dr Faye Stanley is a Senior Lecturer and current Head of Department for Early Childhood, Young People and Developing Professional Practice at the University of Wolverhampton's School of Education. She has led initiatives in academic meetings, staff management, and cross-faculty collaborations to enhance recruitment, progression, and student satisfaction.

Her research focuses on early years education, practitioner values, learning environments, and adult roles in child development. She integrates socio-cultural theories (Vygotsky, 1978) and developmentally appropriate practices (NAEYC, 2009) into her work. Publications include comparative studies of English and Swedish preschool systems and book chapters on pedagogical challenges.
Dr Stanley actively participates in professional networks like the Early Childhood Studies Degrees Network (ECSDN), Early Education (West Midlands), and the Centre for Research in Early Childhood (CREC). She has presented at numerous conferences including EECERA and BECERA from 2004 to 2024, and served as External Examiner for Oxford Brookes and Northampton Universities.
