Associate Professor Faye McMillan is an Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University (CSU), Director of the Djirruwang Program—Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health), and a Wiradjuri woman. She holds a Doctor of Health Science, Master of Indigenous Health Studies, and is Australia’s first registered Aboriginal Pharmacist. Her roles include chairperson of Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA), advisor to the National Health Leadership Forum, and member of the Close the Gap Steering Committee.

Research Interests: Nation-building, Indigenous women in leadership, mental health, and health equity. Her work focuses on Indigenous rights, health system reforms, and UNDRIP compliance. She emphasizes Indigenous knowledge systems and challenges colonial practices in healthcare.

Grants and Advising: Supervised 2 works. Key projects include the DANMM mentoring program for Indigenous nurses/midwives and contributions to the Djirruwang Program. She also chairs IAHA and advises national health policy initiatives.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Djirruwang Program, fostering Indigenous health education and mental health training. Collaborates with the Close the Gap Campaign and Greater Western Human Research Ethics Committee.
