Fawwaz T. Ulaby is the Emmett Leith Distinguished University Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. He served as Vice President for Research (1999-2005) and founded the NASA-funded Center for Space Terahertz Technology. A member of the National Academy of Engineering and Fellow of IEEE/AAAS, his work focuses on microwave remote sensing, radar systems, and electromagnetic modeling.

- Leadership Roles: Directed interdisciplinary NASA projects, served on scientific boards, and supervised 115 graduate students.
