معرفی
Dr. Fatiha Benmokhtar is an experimental particle physicist at Duquesne University's School of Science and Engineering, conducting research at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. She investigates proton structure, short-range correlations in light nuclei, and parity violation through electron scattering experiments. Her work involves students in software development, data analysis, and hardware testing at Jefferson Lab and global facilities.
Education:
- Ph.D. Experimental Particle Physics, Rutgers University
- MS Experimental Particle Physics, USTHB Algiers/ISN Grenoble
- BS Physics of Radiations, USTHB Algiers
Research Interests: Probing quark-gluon dynamics in nucleons, high-precision parity violation measurements, and short-range correlations in light nuclei. Her studies aim to advance understanding of nuclear structure and physics beyond the Standard Model.
Grants & Awards:
- 2023 NSF Grant: "Studies of the Proton Structure with Electron Beams"
- School Excellence Awards: Scholarship, Service, and Teaching
Labs & Collaborations: Active in Jefferson Lab's CLAS12 experiments and collaborations like ECCE for the Electron-Ion Collider. Engaged in hardware development and detector optimization.
