Fatih Bayraktar

Prof. Dr. Fatih Bayraktar is a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU). He holds a PhD in Psychology from Hacettepe University (2009), an MA from Ege University (2002), and a BA from Middle East Technical University (1998). His academic career spans over two decades, focusing on adolescent development, cyberbullying, and digital media effects.

His research interests include Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Cyberbullying, and Parent-Child Relationships. His work explores how cultural, familial, and individual factors influence adolescent behavior in digital and physical environments.

Recent publications analyze cross-cultural cyberbullying trends, sharenting practices, and time perspectives in digital piracy. He has contributed to understanding peer attachment, prosocial behaviors, and gender differences in victimization contexts.

Prof. Bayraktar has supervised numerous PhD and Master’s theses at EMU, including studies on sleep patterns and attention, vaccine hesitancy, and adaptation to university. He has authored book chapters on cyberbullying, LGBTIQ+ cybervictimization, and adolescent adjustment.
