Prof. Dr. Fatih Aslan is a renowned gastroenterologist and endoscopist affiliated with Koç University Hospital. He completed his medical degree at Uludağ University (2001), residency in Internal Medicine at Ondokuz Mayıs University (2002-2007), and gastroenterology fellowship at İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital (2007-2011). Since 2021, he has been a Professor and Director of Advanced Endoscopy at Koç University Hospital, following his promotion from Associate Professor (2017-2021).
His clinical focus spans advanced endoscopic techniques, including Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM), Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), and obesity management. He has performed over 10,000 advanced endoscopic procedures and pioneered several techniques in Türkiye.
Prof. Aslan is an active member of leading international societies such as the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), and the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES). He also serves on the board of the Turkish Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
