Fathima Azmiya Badurdeen is a Researcher at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Religion, Culture and Society, within the Department of Christianity and the History of Ideas. Her work focuses on violent extremism, conflict transformation, and peacebuilding, with a regional emphasis on East Africa. She has authored or co-authored over 12 publications since 2023, including peer-reviewed articles, policy briefs, and books addressing topics like counter-extremism strategies, religious freedom, and the crime-terror nexus.
