Farha Ternikar is a Professor in Sociology and Director of the Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies program at Le Moyne College. She teaches courses on Sociology, Food and Culture, Feminist Theory, and Race/Gender in Popular Culture. Her research explores intersecting identities around gender, race, religion, and diaspora experiences, particularly focusing on Muslim South Asian American women.

- Published in Journal of Ethnic Studies, International Journal of Contemporary Sociology, and Sociology Compass
- Author of landmark works on intersectionality in Muslim communities and food activism
She serves on the advisory board of the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS) and was recently featured on the Classical Ideas podcast discussing her scholarship and activism.
