Elliott Bazzano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Le Moyne College, a Jesuit liberal arts institution. He specializes in Qur’anic interpretation, Islamic theology, and religious pedagogy, with a focus on identity dynamics in academic settings. His research bridges historical and contemporary Islamic studies, examining figures like Ibn Taymiyya while addressing modern challenges in teaching religious studies at Catholic institutions. He hosts podcasts for New Books in Islamic Studies and serves on the American Academy of Religion’s Study of Islam Section committee.
