Dr. Athena Elafros is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Lethbridge. A qualitative cultural sociologist, she focuses on popular music, social inequality, and youth studies, with particular expertise in Greek diaspora and LGBTQ contexts. Born into a working-class Toronto family, she is the first in her family to earn a university degree.
