Dr. Faraidoon Haghdoost (MD, PhD) serves as a Research Fellow in headache disorders at The George Institute for Global Health and holds a Conjoint Lecturer position at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. Originally from Kurdistan in Iran, Dr. Haghdoost specializes in migraine disease, tension-type headache, and cluster headache research, with particular emphasis on advancing headache-specific research methodologies and patient-centered approaches.
His academic journey includes a PhD from The George Institute for Global Health, UNSW (2019-2023) and an MD from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, Iran (2006-2014). Dr. Haghdoost possesses extensive expertise in clinical trials design, meta-analysis, statistical data analysis, and research methodology, with over 60 publications including 36 journal articles, 13 conference papers, and 9 conference abstracts.
Dr. Haghdoost's research portfolio spans headache disorders, public health, global health, and epidemiological studies, with current projects focusing on novel approaches for migraine management that consider comorbidities and related disorders. His work bridges clinical practice with population health perspectives, addressing diagnostic challenges, treatment effectiveness, and the global burden of headache disorders.
He maintains active engagement with scientific communities and patients through multiple communication platforms, including Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, ResearchGate, Instagram, and Google Scholar.
