Fanqi Zeng is a Junior Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on global fake medicines trading and organized crime, supported by grants from the Wellcome Trust (FORESFA project) and the European Research Council (CRIMGOV project). He is also affiliated with the Oxford China Centre and serves as a tutor at the Oxford Internet Institute.
Education:
- PhD in Engineering Mathematics, University of Bristol
Research Interests: Fanqi specializes in interdisciplinary approaches to complex systems, including collective behaviors and ecosystems. His methodological toolkit includes agent-based modelling, network science, machine learning, and game theory. Current projects address the governance of organized crime and the epidemiological impact of substandard medicines.
