Dr. Eleanor Leigh is an Associate Professor and MRC Clinician Scientist Fellow at the University of Oxford's Department of Experimental Psychology, affiliated with Brasenose College. She holds an honorary clinical psychologist position at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and is an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL. Her qualifications include a BSc (Bristol), DPhil (Oxford), and DClinPsy (King’s College London).
Her research focuses on adolescent mental health, particularly cognitive and behavioral mechanisms of anxiety disorders, digital therapy innovations, and the impact of social anxiety on academic achievement. She leads the MHID theme at the Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre and collaborates with the CAMY research group.
Recent work explores social anxiety in neurodivergent populations, mechanisms maintaining social anxiety in autism, and the efficacy of internet-delivered cognitive therapy. Her studies frequently employ experimental, prospective, and meta-analytic methods.
