Dr. Fanli Jia is a tenured Associate Professor of Psychology at Seton Hall University, specializing in cultural, developmental, and environmental psychology. He investigates intergenerational environmental behavior transmission, cultural influences on moral development, and multicultural identity formation. He serves as Associate Editor for Environment & Behavior and Chief Editor of Frontiers in Psychology – Cultural Psychology. His work emphasizes real-world applications, collaborating globally through initiatives like the International Collaboration on Undergraduate Psychology (ICUP) to enhance psychology education's global competencies.
Education: PhD (Wilfrid Laurier University, 2016), MA (2010), BA (University of Winnipeg, 2008).
Research focuses on parental norms' impact on eco-friendly behaviors, cultural differences in moral development, and bilingualism's role in identity formation. Current grants include a $15,000 NJ State grant examining societal restrictions' effects on child development. Awards include multiple Researcher of the Year honors (2021-2024).
