Fang-Yi Chao

Fang-Yi Chao is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Chinese and Coordinator of the Chinese language program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She oversees the Chinese minor program and advises extracurricular cultural activities. Her primary roles include teaching all levels of Chinese language courses and culture-related subjects.

Her research focuses on pedagogical approaches to Chinese language acquisition, historical linguistics, dialectology, and the intersection of language and culture. She actively supervises the Chinese Undergraduate Students Association (The Chinese Club) and organizes cultural events to enhance student engagement.
