Dr. Fang Wang is a Senior Lecturer in Translation Studies at the University of Surrey's Centre for Translation Studies, part of the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. She serves as Program Leader for MA Interpreting, Technology and AI (Chinese Pathway) and MA Translation and AI (Chinese Pathway). Her research focuses on Corpus Linguistics, Translation Studies, Discourse Analysis, and Second Language Teaching. Dr. Wang holds a PhD in Corpus Linguistics from the University of Birmingham and has taught at institutions including the University of Essex and Henan Normal University in China.
Her academic background includes an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Henan Normal University. She specializes in corpus-based approaches to translation and interpreting studies, with recent work exploring pharmaceutical media discourse and refugee mental healthcare communication.
Research Highlights: Dr. Wang's recent publications address health communication challenges in medical journalism and refugee mental healthcare systems. She is also active in postgraduate supervision across corpus-based translation and interpreting studies.
