Dr. Faisal Khan is the Associate Head of Learning and Teaching and Senior Lecturer in Financial Management/Financial Planning at the University of Tasmania’s Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE). His research focuses on economic shocks, globalization’s impact, and financial contagion, particularly analyzing real-world data to validate economic theories. He explores how economic instability in one region affects global economies, emphasizing strategies to mitigate adverse effects through policy design.
Teaching expertise includes Financial Management, Corporate Finance, and Investment Analysis. He coordinates units like Investment Planning, which emphasizes risk-return trade-offs and portfolio management. His supervision spans doctoral research on topics like high-frequency trading, capital structure decisions during pandemics, and sustainable finance.
