Dr. Faina Linkov is a Professor and Chair of the Health Administration and Public Health Department at Duquesne University's John G. Rangos Sr. School of Health Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh and has over 100 peer-reviewed publications. Her research focuses on global health, cancer epidemiology, and AI ethics in healthcare. Dr. Linkov leads the Grefenstette Center Faculty Scholar Fellowship (2024-2025) exploring generative AI's ethical applications.
Education: Ph.D., Epidemiology - University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health (2005); MPH - Behavioral and Community Health Science (2001); B.S. - Psychology (2001).
Research interests include molecular epidemiology, obesity-cancer links, and improving healthcare delivery through informatics. She co-developed the Global Health Supercourse project to enhance education in developing nations and advised Kazakhstan's public health initiatives. Awards include AAAS Fellowship (2020) - Duquesne's first female recipient.
