Bridget C. Calhoun, DrPH, is a Professor and former Chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Duquesne University’s John G. Rangos Sr. School of Health Sciences. With over 20 years of experience in PA education, she has led curriculum development, faculty training, and national initiatives in physician assistant education. She is also actively involved in HIV/AIDS research and public health.

Research Interests: Dr. Calhoun’s research focuses on HIV/AIDS, public health, global health, and infectious diseases. She has contributed extensively to understanding the long-term effects of HIV, including cardiovascular and pulmonary complications, and has applied this knowledge to improve clinical training and education.
Publications Trend: Her publications span HIV-related comorbidities, medical education innovation, and ethical issues in healthcare. She has explored the impact of antiretroviral therapy on metabolic and cardiovascular health, while also advancing simulation-based learning and faculty development in PA education.
