Fabrice Scheurer

Fabrice Scheurer is a CNRS Researcher at the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Strasbourg Materials (IPCMS), University of Strasbourg, where he has been working since 1994. He is affiliated with the Surfaces and Interfaces (DSI) research group, focusing on experimental studies of surfaces, nanostructures, and molecular-scale phenomena using advanced microscopy and spectroscopy techniques.

Dr. Scheurer earned his PhD from Université Louis Pasteur (now part of University of Strasbourg) with a thesis on "Growth and Structure of ultra-thin Co layers on Cr(100)". Prior to his CNRS position, he worked at IBM Research Laboratory (1992-1993) studying "Magnetism of ultrathin layers" using magnon light scattering techniques.

His research focuses on the intersection of surface science, nanotechnology, and quantum phenomena. Dr. Scheurer specializes in using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and related techniques to investigate molecular electronics, nanomagnetism, and single-molecule optical properties.
