Fabio Gsaller

Assoc. Prof. Fabio Gsaller serves as Principal Investigator at the Institute of Molecular Biology, Medical University of Innsbruck. With expertise in fungal biology and pathogenesis, his research focuses on understanding antifungal resistance mechanisms with particular emphasis on iron metabolism in pathogenic fungi.

Dr. Gsaller's research interests center on antifungal therapeutics and resistance mechanisms, particularly examining how fungal pathogens like Aspergillus fumigatus adapt to iron limitation and excess in host environments.
