Dr. Fabio Ballini is an Associate Professor specializing in Maritime Energy Management at World Maritime University. With a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genova, his research focuses on sustainable maritime solutions including port energy management, circular economy applications, and ship emission control technologies. He has led numerous EU-funded projects such as Horizon Europe's SeaNergy and CyberMar.
Research Expertise: Air pollution abatement, externality cost analysis, and clean-tech solutions for maritime transport. His work bridges economic and environmental dimensions of port operations.
Professional Experience: Former Adjunct Professor at the University of Genova teaching Maritime Economy and Social Cost-Benefit Analysis. Extensive project management experience across EU programs including TEN-T and Interreg.
