Dr. Fabian Anicker is a Researcher at the Department of Communication and Media Studies (KMW I) of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Since 2022, he has led the Meinungsmonitor Künstliche Intelligenz (MeMo:KI) project, and since April 2025, the DFG-funded project "Large Language Models als kommunikative Akteure". He serves as deputy spokesperson of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Soziologie (DGS) section on sociological theory.

Research Focus:His work bridges political sociology (public sphere, democratic theory), sociology of technology (AI, LLMs), and sociological theory (theory formation, agency). The DFG project investigates the communicative agency of LLMs and their societal impact, particularly on user attitudes and deliberation processes.
