FERDA MİNDİVAN

Assoc. Prof. Ferda Mindivan serves as Associate Professor and Deputy Head of Department at Bilecik Seyh Edebali University's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering since 2022 and 2024 respectively. Her academic journey includes a Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Atatürk University (2013), Postgraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at Bursa Uludağ University (2021), and Postdoctoral research in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (2022).

Mindivan's research spans biomaterials development with emphasis on graphene-based composites, green synthesis methodologies, and tribological applications for biomedical devices. Her work bridges polymer science, nanotechnology, and sustainable materials engineering, focusing on applications ranging from tissue engineering scaffolds to environmentally friendly wastewater treatment solutions. The interdisciplinary nature of her research integrates materials characterization, mechanical testing, and surface modification techniques to develop novel biomaterials with enhanced performance characteristics.

Analysis of her publication record reveals strong focus on graphene derivatives in polymer matrices (particularly polycaprolactone and polyvinyl chloride), electroless coatings for corrosion resistance, and green synthesis approaches using natural extracts. Current research directions include carbon nanofiber production from modified coal for bone tissue scaffolds and advanced biodegradable composites for medical applications.
